By the end of the course, delegates will know and understand the Noise at Work Regulations and other related legislation.  Delegates will be able to assess the requirement for noise reduction and have an understanding of relevant control methods.  Delegates will be trained with a view to understanding the environmental and medical impact of noise and awareness of equipment / methods to aid noise reduction within the working practices.  The course also contains information on noise deafness regulations, the purpose and requirements of noise assessment under the Noise AT Work Regulations and equipment and procedures for measuring noise and exposure.  Candidates will be able to calculate Lep'd, assess noise sources and plan basic noise control, covering ear protection and guidance for further study.
